Greetings everyone!
I'm Conor and I'm a new member here. I found this site thanks to Michael Staley's Facebook group. I'm relatively new to the Typhonian current but have felt drawn to it for sometime. I am certainly a Thelemite but do not have any connection with the OTO or groups related to them. I've felt drawn to the Typhonian Order since first hearing of it and hope to make contact at some point. I've been practicing some magick as well as mystical practices (mostly meditation) but have also started noticing some of this bleeding over into dreams lately. My interest in the Typhonian current has definitely intensified lately as I've finally managed to get ahold of some of Kenneth Grant's work as well as Nema. Beyond that I'm also very interested in cases of High Strangeness and the like and have found a crossover between magick and strange phenomena. I look forward to learning from you all and hopefully will have something to contribute as time goes by.

Hi Conor, welcome to the Forums.
There certainly is a potential crossover between acts of magick and resultant strange phenomena, Kenneth Grant defined this as a Tangential Tantrum, an unintended and unexpected development with often dramatic consequences - the concept was first introduced in 'Hecate's Fountain'.

Thank you! That's very interesting! I've heard of there being a potential crossover from different books as well as a few people I talk to and that definitely interests me a lot. I hadn't heard of Grant's definition of it as a Tangential Tantrum. I'm definitely going to have to read 'Hecate's Fountain.' Odd bit of synchronicity, that work was actually mentioned quite a bit in a podcast I was listening to on my way home today.

have also started noticing some of this bleeding over into dreams lately. Hello Conor, as dreamwork is a current area of interest for me I would love to hear more about "this bleeding". Have you previously engaged in any dreamwork? Did this manifest as subjects of daytime study appearing in the dreaming or was there some other aspect of the dreaming which cause you to think it was related. thanks, Wm

I would say that this has been more of subjects of daytime study appearing in the dream. For instance, I might find myself in a massive library going through books that contain different aspects of things that I've read...almost like new perspectives I guess you could say. Otherwise it might just be topical.

ah yes, dream libraries! In 'The Library at Night' Alberto Manguel muses on those lost libraries that exist only in dreams or in description…. Much like the elusive Grant Grimoire, available to peruse in the legendary Library of Leng. "You can check it out but you can never leave…."

That's actually a pretty interesting concept and one I have no doubts about. I'll have to read more about this! I've always speculated on the idea of accessing certain types of information that can be found only in dreams.
