Earlier this evening I received Lost Envoy - The Tarot Deck of Austin Osman Spare and have been captivated for the past hours. It's truly difficult to comprehend how this remarkable work of Objective Art remained relatively hidden for so many years! Has anybody here on the forum been to the Magic Circle museum and seen this deck up-close?

Can I ask you where you got it from?
I can't seem to find anything but a 3k used deck.
A.O.S has a special place in my heart and I would love to get my hands on his Tarot as a first Tarot deck.

It's only available in the book Lost Envoy. The Magic Circle owns the deck as well as the only photographs. I believe it was released last year and quickly sold out, today it's nearly impossible to find at any price. I received mine as a gift from my wife. She found a brand new copy at the Museum of Contemporary Art's gift shop for only forty dollars!

I was fortunate to receive a copy of the Lost Envoy from a friend. Incredible material, would have loved to see a deck printed up from this

I found this: strangeattractor.greedbag.com/buy/lost-envoy/Its a book though, not a deck. Depending on how good an artist you are maybe you can make your own deck from it £30.00 seems reasonable (plus shipping). You probably saw a deluxe one someone is holding hostage on Amazon for 3k, insane. Good luck!

If you like tarots decks, The one by Ricardo Cavolo is just beautiful here

Just arrived...I think I might explode before I get past the table of contents I'll update this thread if I survive and can make a pass through it, maybe a few pictures if lawful under the context of a review.

Well, I think I will defer any sort of in depth review, for a few reasons, but I will give a few sparklers I found so far.
To net it out - it's too good. It would not be fair to spoil or diminish the work by blabbing too much about it.
There is indeed the tarot in the book, the cards are insets of 3 embedded as foldouts, which I suppose one could remove and create a deck, but kind of ruins the integrity of the book IMO.
There is at least 1 reprint from Jimmy Page's private collection, it is incredible, all I will say about it except how gracious it is of him to do this. Thank you Jimmy!
Between this and the museum content, there is some nice 'new' Zos material. Still parsing through, but that's the extent I expect to provide, however I'm sure it will be a valuable reference where relevant details could be referenced in a book or essay.
Last but not least, thank you Raj Don Yasser for the thread which caused me to get back on the case, I had known about the book but like others I could only find the ones being held hostage, putting the effort in and I found an affordable source.
If you are a hardcore Zos student, this is a must have IMO.

Not to resurrect an old thread, but considering the discussion, I'm compelled to mention that Strange Attractor Press now has a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for publishing the deck and reprinting Lost Envoy:

Not to resurrect an old thread, but considering the discussion, I'm compelled to mention that Strange Attractor Press now has a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for publishing the deck and reprinting Lost Envoy: I backed this recently. I love that there will be an actual deck this time around, and won't be limited to just the book, like the first printing.
