I have been involved with Kenneth Grant's work for many years, having first stumbled across it in a fairly magickal way. I had the chance to skim through a then very OOP and hard to come by copy of "Outside the Circles of Time". However, I did not have time to really dive into the work before I had to return it to it's owner. I performed a magickal operation with the goal of attaining reasonably priced copies of Grant's books (which were all OOP at the time and selling for outrageous sums. This is also pre-internet so no pdf files etc.). Shortly after this I relocated from Madison WI to New Orleans for reasons that were unclear to me at the time (ie I felt a strong subconscious pull in this direction). I walked into a touristy gift shop mostly selling "We Be Jamming" t-shirts and similar crap. There was a small table with books on it in this store. These books turned out to be still shrink-wrapped copies of 4 different Grant books marked for sale at $10 each. There were no other books in the store and the employee behind the counter had no idea why they were there.
I have been continuously involved in the study of Grant's work ever since and it has had a profound effect on my own work, both magickal and artistic (if there is a difference). I produce music with a Typhonian bent ,sometimes alone and sometimes in collaboration with Clay Ruby of Burial Hex (eg bravemysteries.storenvy.com/products/852836-cqbl041-wedding-on-beyond-yuggoth-c30).
