In a footnote on page 55 (footnote 27) of Aleister Crowley and the Hidden God, Kenneth Grant writes, "There is another, older tradition, in which Set is the Son of Isis, and Horus is the Son of Nuit, and this tradition is reflected in the Cult of Thelema."
I assume this is an ancient Egyptian tradition... Does anyone know the reference for this statement?

Hi triveni93, he's probably referring to Gerald Massey's writings on early Egyptian tradition, Natural Genesis or Ancient Egypt probably.

Yes I would look to Massey's work for a lot of these Egyptian references. Massey was a huge influence on many of the deep Typhonian ideas that Grant expounds on
