There is a great deal that is interesting in the three chapters of Beyond the Mauve Zone given over to an account of Zivorad's work. At one point (in the third chapter) there is an account of a dream:
"I am dreaming that I am in some dark cellar, moving toward light. Something drops down in front of me – a snake. I am frightened. There is something strange about its head. During the day, suddenly, I remember that the snake had Lam's head. Now I have a cognition – Lam had such strange shoulders because his body is serpent-like."
I had been very interested in Lam since the late 1980s. When I first read this account by Aliona, it struck a chord with me, and from that chord emerged the Lam-Serpent which sparked a very productive few years in terms of insight.

Did KG ever write/say anything about the possibility of the Mauve Zone being connected in any way with (The) "Purple beyond purple" referred to in The Book of the Law (II:51) - and by extension there, with the "beyond" of the first Purple being related to the "Beyond" in Beyond the Mauve Zone?
From his point of view this "Deep Purple" correlation seems to be more esoterically viable than the otherwise more mundane "Ultra-Violet" explanation normally given for it, which Crowley attributes in his Old Comment as actually the "eighth colour of the spectrum" (the seventh presumably still being just "Violet" - as in "Vain", Richard of York gave battle in - on its own). But not taking into account at the time there would also be the binary separation/ division of UVA and UVB rays within the band of the Ultra Violet itself.

There are only two references to "purple beyond purple" throughout the Trilogies. The first is in Hecate's Fountain, p.88 (Starfire edition):
"Purple beyond purple" is a reference to the Mauve Zone, a reference to the Moon beyond Yesod.
The second is in The Ninth Arch, p.362 (Starfire edition):
The violet gas suggests the Mauve Zone, and the "purple beyond purple", the "light higher than eyesight" (of AL.II.51), the Qrixkuor light in fact."
Concerning the second passage, I think that KG is here comparing the "purple beyond purple" to the "light higher than eyeseight" mentioned in The Book of the Law, rather than to the Mauve Zone per se.

To enlarge on Michael's response, here is a section from a 2018 essay of mine on "Aspects of the Mauve Zone":
In his interpretation of AL.II.50: Blue am I and gold in the light of my bride: but the red gleam is in my eyes; & my spangles are purple & green., Grant gives the sephirothic attributions of these colours: blue to Chesed, gold to Tiphereth, red to Geburah, purple to Yesod and green to Netzach. Then he goes on to declare:
On another, more secret colour scale, blue is the azure of space: gold, the solar current; red, the blood or energy of the Scarlet Woman; purple, the Mauve Zone, or the subtle reflection of Yesod’s kala in the Meonic twilight cast by the Veil of the Abyss. Green is verdigris, metallic corruption associated with the kalas of alchemy (sexual magick). (HF, p.85)
Regarding AL.II.51, he goes on to say:
Purple beyond purple, is a reference to the Mauve Zone, a reference to the Moon beyond Yesod. It is described as the light higher than eyesight because it transcends the visual range of any merely terrestrial priestess. (HF, p85)
The Moon beyond Yesod is, to be precise, a reference to Daath, and the Hebrew gematria of the phrase “purple beyond purple” provides confirmation of this, for ARGMN MOBR LARGMN = 930 has the same value as HAChD MOBR LOShR, “the One beyond Ten”, Daath as the eleventh Sephirah on the Tree of Life. It is significant to note that 930 expresses the 93 Current in its mature manifestation. The relationship between Yesod and Daath is reiterated again, “…the Yesodic or sexual power-zone which is reflected in the mist-veil of the Abyss as the hell or hole of the Mauve Zone” while elsewhere, Grant refers to “the Inner and the Outer Moons – Daath and Yesod – which form the twin portals of the Mauve Zone.” (HF, p.223)
