Hi everyone, and thanks for this forum. I found it from a pinned post in the "Kenneth Grant and the Typhonian Tradition" Facebook group, and thought I'd sign up. I've had a long-term interest in Grant's work that is ramping up lately as I'm reading through the Typhonian Trilogies end-to-end (currently in Nightside of Eden, which I did read once before, years ago). My background is sort of eclectic, having started in (and soon left) Wicca, then spending some time with chaos magick, discovering Andrew Chumbley's work, and then doing some Luciferian LHP work (which I also soon left). I have an interest in Lovecraftian workings, but more along the lines of the energies, dreams, imagination, and creativity behind it all, rather than any sort of literal devotion to a "Lovecraftian pantheon." I'm currently also enjoying studying and working with the Greek Magical Papyri.
I'm happy to be here, and I'm looking forward to interacting with everyone. Best wishes!

Hi Inara,
Thanks for your introduction. Eclectic is good, I think. As well as my long-standing familiarity and work with Kenneth Grant's Trilogies, and also because of it, I have explored Lovecraftian themes and Vodou and much else. The Greek Magical Papyri interest me, not least for their Typhonian content and I have a considerable interest in the Qabbalistic Tradition.
The forums have been rather quiet for some time, but here is to more activity!

Welcome to the forums, inara. As Stephen remarked, eclectic is good. My main interest is Kenneth Grant's work, which has been pretty much the centre of my life since the early 1980s. References in The Magical Revival to Wei Wu Wei awakened an interest in Advaita Vedanta, and for many years now I've been taking a growing interest in Spare. These sources and influences are the material from which, through the catalyst of magical and mystical experience, we distil an inherent body of work.
I look forward to your participation in the forums.

Having sold my Grant collection over a decade ago (bought a house, moved, needed space, etc., etc.), I was recently looking to reacquire some of the more influential books of my past (Nightside of Eden being one), and was referred to JD Holmes. Seeing that Starfire was in the midst of reprinting, I ended up re-purchasing all the recent releases and will be doing an end-to-end reread very shortly myself. Will definitely post thoughts to compare notes.

Will definitely post thoughts to compare notes. I've spent so much money with JD over the last few years, starting with my cherished 3rd edition copy of Chumbley's Azoëtia. I formerly had some of the Skoob editions of Grant, but had to sell long ago. I managed to collect the complete first Starfire reissues of the Trilogies before the supply ran out with the fire, and am adding the new paperbacks now as they come out. Looking forward to having a complete set of matched hard and soft covers soon.
