Hi all, thanks so much for allowing me to participate in this forum. As a long time fan of Grant there is a criticism that comes up a lot I have noticed and it alleges that Grant extended or changed Crowley's material in ways which were never intended. In other words, Crowley intended such and such to be interpreted this way while Grant has taken the liberty to interpret it another way. I have never viewed this as a fair criticism as usually it is put forward by the caliphate crowd; however, of late one or two people who I do admire have made a similar observation concerning Grant.
I feel that interpretation is at the heart of Magick and the current tends to run on interpretation, building upon its own agregore if it possesses merit, or not. It lives or dies on its own energy. Crowley himself was certainly an 'interpreter' and 'changer' .
Take for example The Fool and the following observation:
"Recently I had a very pleasant conversation with one of my virtual friends regarding the correct ordering of The Fool among the cards of the Major Arcana.
My interlocutor seemed surprised when I said that The Fool does not belong to the beginning of the Tarot deck..."

I would be interested to know your own views on Grant's interpretations and if you think the criticism fair.
One of these critics suggested the problem with Grant is that he has led a whole group of Thelemites down a road that is not Thelema. I would love to know your view. Does Thelema possess an orthodoxy? And if does, who shall be appointed judge of what that orthodoxy is or is not?
