I would love to hear of your personal experiences when asked about your "spirituality", "practice", "belief system", and Thelemic natures.
As the saying goes, the Law is for all. I am not incredibly private about my practices and it is certainly not unusual to be asked about Liber Resh after performing it outside the bank. It is not uncommon to be approached with curiosity when reading tarot in a diner either. I do these things where and whenever possible.Even if it means I might be challenged to address the simplest questions, without "talking overmuch" or losing them in these "glorious mysteries".
a piece from Liber CCC:
"6. By all manner of means shall all strive constantly to increase the power and freedom of the Headquarters of the O.T.O.; for thereby will come efficiency in the promulgation of the Law. Specific instructions for the extension of the O.T.O. are given in another epistle.
Constant practice of these recommendations will develop skill in him or her that practiseth, so that new ideas and plans will be evolved continually..."
Granted (ha) these are written for the OTO, how those that participate in the Typhonian Tradition go about their explanations.
I ask this to further discourse with those interested in Thelema without losing them to obfuscation.
Do you invite them to coffee?
When asked why Typhonians seem so "fixated on darkness", how do you reply?
When a grandmother and her poodle see your hexagram and ask about the star of david, do you yell
APO PANTOS KAKODAIMONOS!
When a little child tries to play with your egyptian deity action figures on your shrine, do you give them to them?APO PANTOS KAKODAIMONOS!
I can think of many experiences and various questions throughout my practice that have proved, humorous, blunderous, blasphemous, joyous, and even a bit confusing. All the same, I would love to hear about how you address questions regarding this vast territory, when in your daily pedestrian affairs.
As for myself. Recently, my brother in the great work and I have established a Kibblah in my home. The two of us get together on Saturdays. We have entertained the idea of inviting people who might be interested, but goodness, where would we start?!? Shotgun from the hip...
