The Tibetan Tantric Music is strange to British ears but, nevertheless it has a summoning and calming affect upon the Psyche. It reminds me in some way to the music provided by Singing Bowls of various dimensions. I have a silver chalice dated via the Hallmark as 1801, which when stroked with the wooden mallet I got with my singing Bowl, produces a deeper and seemingly, a much deeper intonation and sound that the four inch tibetan bowl I have. I am aware of some bowls being of the order of having a diameter of some eighteen inches and very heavy, but those of this calibre have never presented themselves in the areas where I have found myself and can only rely on recordings. Sirius1 The ritual music is reminiscent of the astral winds and other sounds in the Bardo of death, with the cacophony of clashing cymbals, drums, horns and throaty chants. I can't help but think of the descriptions Lovecraft gave of Azathoth in this sense too. I am reminded of roaring winds, howling demons and gods lost in their samsaric dreams, clashing bones, lightning and thunder, and strange discordant piping of the blind, mad spectres. When I was traveling in Nepal I came across a wide range of the "Tibetan singing bowls." They do come in many sizes, each with a unique sonic register. Apparently you can find bowls that are attuned to the vibration of all the primary chakras. In Kathmandu they have made it down to all of the shops filled with statues of Buddhas and Ganesh so that tourists may have their fill of the exotic wares.

I've been wondering about the Power-Zones of the tree of life in relation to the Necronomicon Mythos described in Hecates Fountain. Why Tree of Life and not Qlipoth? Wouldn't Qlipoth suit better? I see the Necronomicon entities being related to the Sitra Achra (Azathoth link to Samael etc). Insights about this matter would be really appreciated!

An interesting question, anthropos, strange that no one has considered it here before. Basically, are the Great Old Ones to be equated with the Qlippoth of the Qabbalistic Tradition? The latter are usually regarded as being the averse Sephiroth and their representatives: traditionally designated as being 'Evil'. From the human perspective the Great Old Ones are essentially 'Amoral' - beyond good and evil. They could certainly be considered as existing on the Other Side of the Tree.
You might like to consider the distinctions that Kenneth Grant makes between the Outer Ones, the Deep Ones and the Great Old Ones as having significance on their attribution. The Old Ones were... perhaps they could be equated with the Kings of Edom? Just my observations, off the top.

Thank you stephen for your insight. The Old Ones equating with the Kings of Edom is an interesting theory, which I don't remember having heard before. I will look more into it.
