Eastern Mysticism and Advaita Grant described Eastern Mysticism as his first love, and he immersed himself in Advaita in the early 1950s, devoted to such sages as Ramana Maharshi, Thakur Haranath and Anandamayi Ma amongst others, writing articles for Asian journals throughout the 1950s and 1960s, many of which were subsequently published in At the Feet of the Guru. The Influence of Achad In November 1950, Grant made typed copies for Gerald Yorke of much of the correspondence between Yorke and Achad in 1948/49. As the series of the Typhonian Trilogies progressed, Grant re-evaluated Achad's work, becoming increasingly interested in the Incoming of the Aeon of Maat on 2nd April 1948.
